This week we're lucky enough to have a House of Science Puzzle Box to explore in the classroom.
These boxes are amazing and chock full of exciting science experiences for learners. The focus of this box is observation/data gathering and understanding that in science, it is ok to not know the "answer" to questions you might have.
Our first activity involved forming a hypothesis (guess) about a story from some information we were given. We started with a small amount of information, and as we got more, our hypothesis changed. This activity really helped highlight how important it is to get as much information as you can. We also learnt that our ideas can change when we get new information and that's ok.
